I want to start this blog by telling you little bit about myself. I was born and raised in Banja Luka, Bosnia. When I was 18 years of age, way back in 1996, my family decided to leave war and everything bad behind us to look for opportunity for better life somewhere else.  With that being said we moved to Jacksonville, Florida.  Now 24 years later, I am happily married to my best friend who I met back in 1997. We were actually neighbors, and it was love on the first sight. Soon we will celebrate 21 years of our marriage. I am also a  mom of two amazing boys who are 19 and 15 years old, and a dog mom our cutest 5 year old princess who thinks she is a lap dog with her 45lbs.

I work full time job from home as a Team Manager in the call center , so when ever  I have few hours available after work or on my days off I use that time to be creative. My life is pretty busy and I love every moment of it. I consider myself as one very lucky woman.

Regarding my talent, I can only say that I am self taught, part of my knowledge and my passion for sewing, fashion and design comes from two very talented women in my life, and that is my grandma and my mom. Since I can remember I was a tomboy , I would be frequently found sitting on the tree, bringing home stray dogs or even found on the roof observing the neighborhood and using my hard cover books to slide down the roof. Let's just say I am very thankful that my boys didn't inherit that part of me. But even that I spent most of my time playing outside as a child,  I also enjoyed playing with leftover fabric that my mom had in her boutique. My mom was self thought seamstress, she earned money as she sew beautiful clothes in her cutest little boutique. She would teach me how to use needle and my grandmother would teach me how to crochet and knit. I had many hobbies in the past 20 years. I tried myself in dancing, painting, crocheting , knitting, drawing, designing, even woodworking, I just can't sit still for longer than 5 min. But few years back in 2014, I was in the store passing by sewing machines section and there it was sitting on the shelf, a Singer machine, that was the moment I remembered how my mom made all that beautiful clothes using her trustworthy Singer Machine and wondered if I could do the same, plus I was sick of searching for clothes that I would actually like. So I told my hubby what I wanted to try as my next hobby. I am betting that he probably thought here we go again, another hobby, but as amazing as he is, he would never show or say anything to stop my creativity. He is always supports me all the way. So, that is how I ended up buying my first Singer Sewing machine. Since then I still love sewing and I enjoy every moment I can in my sewing room. I hope you enjoy this trip with me as I share my makes and hopefully inspire some of you.

PS.

DiTaSo name was born back when I started High School and my youngest sister was born. My mom allowed my middle sister Sonja and me to pick the name, and we decided to give our baby sister name Dijana, by the Princess Diana and also as both of us had good friends with same name. DiTaSo is two letters of three of us, three sisters. Dijana, Tanja & Sonja.
